Founder, President & Chairman
Dr. John Shimonsky is a former CIO, US Army, Middle East Region, and U.S. Diplomat who carries a PhD in Computer Science, CCAr, CCDE, CCIE, CCNA, CISSP & CISM. John Shimonsky founded AITS after serving 35 years in the U.S. military; a retired and former Chief Information Officer (CIO), U.S. Army, Middle East he oversaw more than 8,000 personnel providing the US military leadership, management and direction in establishing IT platforms, to include networks supporting more than 300,000 soldiers, sailors, airman and DoD personnel, throughout 11 countries in the Middle East supporting GULF WAR I and GULF WAR II efforts.
Additionally, John served as a former U.S. Diplomat, as the Senior-Ranking Signal Officer representing the United States interests during Gulf War I, Gulf War II, Desert Fox I and Desert Fox II throughout the Middle East Division (11 Countries). After retiring as a decorated GULF WAR Veteran, he would later work in the Medical Community whereby under his supervision, the first-ever electronic medical record system (EMR) was developed in the State of Maryland, now is use today. As a President of a major Information Technology (IT) Research & Development corporation, he would oversee the development of the first-ever military cloud-based network and platforms used as todays standards.
Presently, John acts as the Founder, President, and Chairman for AITS Defence, LLC, providing operational guidance, supporting the nations Department of Energy and nuclear forces. John is a graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Maryland and Middle East Technical Institute with advanced degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. He enjoys golfing, bowling and was a former 5-time Boston Marathon top-100 finisher, running more than 50 marathons under the 2:20 minute barrier.

Dr Manjit Pope is a trailblazing force at the crossroads of space exploration, future technological advancement, and international cooperation. Renowned for propelling esteemed Aerospace and Defence organisations to new heights, she has left an indelible mark on the competitive landscape. As the President of SFA International and the CSO for the Space Force Association, Dr. Pope has redefined leadership by placing people at the forefront.
Under Dr Pope's dynamic leadership, she spearheaded a $3 billion technology enterprise, delivering National innovation and growth strategy security intelligence and integrated solutions to the defence, government, space, intelligence, and security sectors globally. Her role as Chief Technology Officer at SBAC further showcased her prowess in orchestrating national strategies in AI, IoT, Machine learning and adaptation of Nuralink technology strategy, UAVs, Fintech, and Smart Cities, while pioneering global pursuit of commercializing space exploration.
Acknowledged as a prominent rocket scientist and a leading authority in space Defence commercialisation, starting with a 14-year foundation of manufacturing systems engineering at British Aerospace and BAESYSTEMS, Dr. Pope leads the International development of UK Space and the Global US Space Industry. Her profound insights shape the legacy of space exploration, emphasising its enduring impact on future generations.
At the helm of the Space Force Association's Global development, Dr Pope emerges as a visionary leader, ushering in an era of international collaboration. Her exceptional leadership, honed through a remarkable journey marked by innovation and growth, underscores her tenure as CEO of UK Space IGT, where she has ignited national innovation strategies across Aerospace, Space, Security, and Defence sectors worldwide.
